Aimo Katajainen was born in 1948 in Valkeala, Finland. He has a degree in social sciences from the University of Tampere. His profession is a social worker in drug prevention. Now retired, Aimo lives in Turku. He had his first solo exhibition just before his 50ties and since than his works were shown to the public in on-man events 12 times in Finland and 3 times in France. Aimo participated in more than 150 collective exhibitions since 2000 in 16 countries on 3 continents. His paintings were awarded 4 times in Varenna, Italy and in Monaco. Museums in Finland, USA, Spain and Brazil own his canvases. Aimo is a founder of Finnish Naive Artists association, registered in 2012.
