Branko Matina was born in Hlebine, Croatia on March 21, 1960. Painting on glass began in 1972, and the first works of glass were created with the help and advice of renowned naive artists and his cousins and teachers Ivan Generalic, Franjo Filipovic. He first participated in a joint exhibition in Padua in 1974. He has participated in over two hundred joint exhibitions and thirty individual exhibitions in Croatia and abroad, mainly in European countries. His paintings are found in many private collections, galleries and diplomatic missions around the world.
