Georgi Georgiev is a freelance architect with over 20 years of experience in ecological construction with natural materials. He was born in Veliko Tarnovo in 1956. In his works, he experiments with the encaustic technique on wood. He himself prepares wax paints with natural dyes (clay and soot). The wax is from his own beehives. Sometimes he adds a gold nugget from the nearby river for an accent. This results in a completely closed cycle using only local natural materials. Despite the relatively poor palette, the colors are stable and will not change over time. His debut as an artist in the field of fine arts in an exhibition hall is in 2023 in Sofia. Georgi is one of the co-organizers of the international Biennale NAIVE Bulgaria in its two editions so far – 2021 and 2023.
