Joanna Kemileva was born on December 4, 1950 in the city of Sofia, Bulgaria. She has a master’s degree from the Higher Institute of Fine Arts “Nikolai Pavlovich”, majoring in ceramics and sculpture. From 2006 to 2016 – Secretary of the Ceramics Section at the Union of Bulgarian Artists. Joanna has 14 solo exhibitions in Bulgaria and Canada and a number of participations in collective art events in many countries – Bulgaria, Russia, Poland, Hungary, Syria, France, Germany, Canada. Works by Joanna Kemileva are in the possession of the Museum of Applied Arts in Sofia and Troyan, as well as collectors from England, Canada, Korea, USA, Poland, France, Greece.
