Matti Laine was born in Tyrvää, Finland in 1953. He has a degree in political science from the University in Tampere, Finland and his main profession is a journalist. Matti is a selftaught artist who started to paint in naive style in 2000. Has numerous solo exhibitions in Finland and 17 participations in the national naive art event ”Naivistit Iittalassa” as well as in international expositions in Sweden, Estonia, Poland and Bulgaria. Matti is also illustrating books, his works are in several municipality and state insititutions.
