Rachel Frank was born in 1957 and raised in Jerusalem, Israel. She holds an M.A. degree in special education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. For a several decades, she was devoted to the education of children with special needs, in teaching, training teachers and managing a school. After her retirement in 2014 she dedicated herself to paintings and sculpting – a hobby she was following all her life. Although Rachel started in art in 1977, her first participation in an exhibition took place in 2013 and since than she has nearly 20 group events in Israel, Poland and Russia. She has combines her love of both fields of art: painting and sculpting, by focusing on creating visual compositions in a way of painting on sculptures that she herself creates. The sculptures are colorful and full of joy of life, movement and imagination.
