Yuli Shumarev was born on 09.07.1969 in Plovdiv. In 1993, he had a degree in Elementary School Pedagogy at the Paisiy Hilendarski Plovdiv University with a specialization in fine arts. His first exhibition was in 1994 in Plovdiv and since then, he has had over 15 exhibitions in different cities of Bulgaria and France. His paintings are owned by the Bulgarian Cultural Center in Paris, the Iliya Beshkov City Art Gallery in Pleven, as well as by many private collectors in Bulgaria, Europe, the USA and Canada. He lives and works in Plovdiv and is a member of the informal group Art Box 69.
