Yuri Bukov was born on March 7, 1947 in the village of Riben, Pleven region. He has had over 30 solo exhibitions in the country and abroad. His paintings are owned by private collectors in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, the USA and Japan. The Bulgarian National Television dedicated to him to the documentary The Passions and Tribulations of Yuri Bukov in 1996.
