Agnes Nampijinpa Fry was born in 1965 in Yuendumu, a remote community located 290 km northwest of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory of Australia. Agnes was trained in Yuendumu and still lives there today. She is married to Stephen Yakamara Walker, son of famed Warlpiri artist Liddy Napanangka Walker. Since 2006, Agnes has been painting with the Aboriginal Corporation of Warlukurlangu Artists located in Yuendumu. The stories she paints have been passed down for millennia from generation to generation.
