Chantal Le Pape was born in 1947 on the outskirts of Paris. She moved to Normandy with her family in 1980 and founded a Scottish Terrier dog breeding company. She started painting only in 2008. Chantal likes to paint old houses (Monet’s in Giverny, for example), as well as beautiful castles. Her paintings always include a small black Scottish Terrier, which she has bred for more than 40 years. She is the co-organizer of the annual exhibition Le Rendez-Vous des Naïfs in Verne de Avre and d’Uthon. Chantal has participated in a number of exhibitions of naive art in France and abroad.
