Born on July 4, 1955, in Chartres, France, Edith Micheli has degrees in mathematics and education. After the end of her professional career as trainer and IT specialist in different state bodies in France she dedicated all her time to painting.
Edith’s first exhibition took place in 1975. She began by taking classes at a painting academy for eight years, followed by three years of study in a local studio. A 32-year partnership with the “Galerie Naïfs et Primitifs” in Paris further shaped her career, constantly encouraging her to strive for higher quality. This long-standing collaboration allowed Edith’s paintings to travel to countries around the world—including Japan, China, Australia, the United States, Italy, Germany, and Belgium—and to illustrate books, calendars, playing cards, and even school textbooks. Nowadays she organizes international salons of naïve art in Chartres, France.
