Ivan Andrasic was born in 1959 in Molva, Croatia. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy at the Zagreb State University in 1983 with a pedagogical profile. In 1988 he moved to Koprivnitsa, where he lives and works until now. As a self-taught artist, he began painting very early in the style of the Croatian naive and at the age of twelve participated in the first group exhibition. In 1973 he had his first independent exhibition in Križevci. In the 1990s, he illustrated several books and poetry collections by Croatian authors, and he himself published several graphic albums. During his nearly fifty years of creative activity, he has more than 80 solo exhibitions and participated in several hundred group events in Europe, North America and Canada. Member of the Union of Naive Artists of Croatia in Zagreb, member of the Society of Independent Artists of Croatia, one of the leaders and organizers of the Podravina Motifs Festival.
