Jan Glozik was born in 1957 in Kovačica, Serbia. It is of Slovak origin. He studied under Susana Halupova who is regarded as one of the doyens of naive art in Serbia and the founder of the city’s artistic core. He is a member of the Kovačica Gallery of Naive Art and of the Council of Naive Art. His first painting was made in 1975 and his first solo exhibition was in the mid-1980s. He participated for the first time in a collective exhibition in Kovačica in 1989. Since then, he has had over 50 individual and collective exhibitions in Serbia and abroad.
