Luciana Mariano was born in São Paulo in 1971. Third generation of naive artists in her family, she is also a self-taught artist and paints intensively since her early childhood. In 2008 she had her first exhibition in São Paulo and ever since her works have been exhibited in Brazil, Chile, United States, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Belgium, Finland, England, Estonia and Poland. She has participated in several projects and artistic events and had her works printed in several didactic publications. Her paintings are simple stories but there is always more than meets the eyes; there are always small secrets, mysteries and symbols in her paintings, ready to be discovered. She lives currently in Finland.
